About Us
Peaceful Bilingual Early Learning Centre is a government registered, group daycare centre which has been in operation in area of Richmond since 2008.
Operation facilities and all faculty staff are government licensed and have many years of experience in teaching young children in elementary school and preschool childcare centres.
The centre offers a large indoor playroom, dinning room, and an actives and resting room allowing children to learn and play. in addition, a large outdoor playground with many outdoor play sets and playhouses for children to enjoy physical activities. All safety regulations are adhered to.
Teachers
Ms. Jennie Liu (B.Eng., ECE)
Founder/Director
As the founder and the centre director, Ms. Jennie Liu believes that all children need to know they are loved. Early Learning professionals have the most important job there is: nurturing, guiding, teaching children, and creating strong and healthy families. Jennie believes the care of our young children and their families is the care of our younger children and their families is the foundation of a healthy society. She has had over 10 years of rich and varied experiences working with children and families.
Jennie has developed various interests and talents in Music, Dancing, Singing and Painting. In her early years, she performed various Chinese folk dance on stage, and she trained as a semi professional ballet dancer and plays Chinese transitional musical instrument, Pipa (琵琶).
As a ECE educator, she also holds an educator diploma in ECE and various certificates including CPR level 1, Food safety and Fashion Art and Design Certificate.
Ms. Heather Jang
Bilingual (English and French) Educator
Ms. Heather Jang has been an integral part of the Peaceful Bilingual Early Learning Centre family for more than 2 years. With multiple college degrees in child development and education, she joined Peaceful Bilingual Early Learning Centre 2012, bringing a wealth of knowledge, innovation and creativity to our curriculum. Teacher Heather is a true childcare expert and works overseeing the bilingual curriculum and teaches children in both English and French. Teacher Heather is also very well known and very involved with the BC Teachers Association and has always served the education community on various Boards.
Ms. Kathy Liu (B.Sc., ECE)
Centre Director
Ms Kathy obtained her Early Childhood Education certificate in British Columbia in 2010 and since been worked in different childcare settings. She is specialized in bilingual teaching through communication with children in both English and Chinese. Her teaching principle is play based with beliefs that children best learn through enjoyable and hands on activities. She believes that each child is unique therefore different teaching styles should apply based on each child’s personality and temperament. She is a mother of one grown daughter and one elementary school son. She enjoys spending time baking, reading, talking and playing with her children.
